A season of trusting a big God for big things.

The building ahead of us.

The generation coming behind us.

And before any of it, the work God wants to do in our hearts.

Our mission at Calvary is leading people to their next step in following Jesus, and we believe God has just set the next one in front of our whole church family.

The Story

"Enlarge the place of your tent… do not hold back… For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left." (Isaiah 54:2–3)

For more than 60 years, God has been calling us to make room at Calvary. In this video, we tell the story of what God has done here, what He's doing right now, and why we believe it's our turn to make room.

What We're Building

People are the mission. The gospel is the mission. Buildings are tools that help us reach people and make disciples, and right now our tools are limiting us. So Calvary is planning a completely new Next Gen Building — a two-story home for kids and student ministry — along with an enlarged chapel, at our Sinking Spring campus.

For Kids

A building designed for children from the ground up: one secure check-in area for the whole family, age-appropriate classrooms, a dedicated space for children with special needs, and room for 250 kids. We want every parent who walks through our doors to know right away that their children matter here. And we want every one of those rooms to make room for the gospel: for a five-year-old to hear that Jesus loves him, and for a fifth grader to learn put her faith into action at school and with friends.

For Students

Dedicated space for middle and high school students, with room for 215: a place to worship together, open God's Word, build friendships, invite friends, and ask hard questions. We want to be as intentional as possible about helping the next generation know, love, and follow Jesus, in a space that feels like theirs.

For our whole church family

An enlarged chapel, seating about 275, gives us more opportunities for weddings, funerals, classes, prayer gatherings, and smaller worship services.

Alongside it, repurposed classrooms give adults of every generation room to grow in their faith, encourage one another, and be equipped to serve.

The Goal:

Making Room has a goal of $4.5 million in commitments over three years, 2027 through 2029. Every commitment is a gift above regular giving, and every dollar goes to a dedicated building fund, so nothing God is doing through Calvary today slows down while we build.

The entire project is currently estimated at around $9 million. Making Room covers a significant share of that, and for the remainder, Calvary plans to do what it has done in building seasons before: take out a mortgage, sized within conservative limits set by our elders, and pay it off faithfully. Every dollar given through the campaign lowers what we borrow.
