Africa Missions Update April 2023 - Calvary Bible Fellowship Church

"My family and I are doing well in the gracious hand of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has kept us healthy and safe, and we are very thankful for that. We are also exceedingly grateful for your support of our lives and evangelistic ministry through your prayer and giving. We have seen amazing things in the last year through our outreach programs and weekly church gatherings.

We have been utilizing a local radio program to share the Gospel with a vast amount of people. Many have come to our church as a result, and shortly after airing the Gospel a woman came up to me after the preaching and told me about her conversion to Christ after hearing the Gospel on the radio. God is saving, and I am so thankful that He uses various streams of gospel proclamation to save His people.

We have been counseling local believers, visiting hospitals, conducting 1-on-1 discipleshipmeetings, doing door-to-door evangelism, and much more. The Lord is faithful to provideopportunities to speak into the lives of others with His Truth, and we are grateful.

A lady by the name of M. came to our village and told us that her husband has been abusing her. Heartbroken, we sought to encourage her with the Gospel. She was very bitter and angry during our conversation with her, and we told her that peace can be found in Jesus Christ. I asked her to start praying for peace in the Name of Jesus Christ. She tried it and reported later that she has a peace that surpasses all understanding and placed her trust in Jesus Christ.

It is our earnest aim to see Christ transform more and more people for His glory in our community and surrounding areas. Thankfully, we shared the Gospel with over 70 people in the last year and report that 7 individuals trusted in Christ as their Savior. We are thankful that your support enables us to do this full-time. Your support means so much to us."

Prayer requests from D:

Kindly pray that more believers would inquire about our counseling services. We know the Word of God is like honey on our lips and nourishment for our souls. We want our people to experience that.
That the Lord would raise up more missionaries in our area.
That we would preach the Gospel of Christ to more people throughout the week as we go door-to-door.
That the Lord would raise up church planters to put down roots in neighboring villages.

"At the moment, my family and I are doing well by the grace of God. He has blessed us with health and sustenance. We want to thank our supporters for your giving and advocacy of our lives. We can serve the Lord in various ways because of your giving and that is no small thing to us.
During the last three months, we have conducted the following activities: baptism, discipleship, seminars, training, and intercessory
prayer. We also had some Bible study groups that resulted in significant inner growth in the lives of our church. In the last 10 months, my team and I shared the Gospel with over 300 people. We are blessed to report that 20 people professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as a result. Our prayer is that they would grow in the grace and knowledge of God. Our hope is that the Lord would use our programs to grow them in sanctification and Christ-likeness.

Earlier in 2021, we reported to Worldlink about a man whose wife came to faith in Jesus Christ. She was formerly a Muslim woman who is now a believer in Christ. She shared with me her desire to see Christ save her husband. She recently shared the fulfillment of 1 Peter 3:1-2 which speaks of the conduct of a believing wife winning her husband to Christ. Her formerly devout Muslim husband asked her, “What must I do to be saved?” and she implored him to repent of his sins. He is now a committed follower of the Lord Jesus; we rejoice in the grace of our Lord to save.

We have many goals and aspirations as a ministry. We want to develop study material designed to help members of our church save money and rise above the crippling reality of poverty. So many in our communities are poor, and God is calling us to be good stewards of the small amount of money we do possess. We also are praying about developing a missionary base for local men and women who are called to leave our village to preach Christ around our region.

The Lord has provided a plot of land for us to use, and we will be constructing the base in the coming months. We trust that it will be a great place to train others in the faith for the work of the ministry."

For the Lord to strengthen new believers that have come to Christ in the last year.
That God would provide the funds and labor to finish the missionary training base.
Kindly pray for God to provide the means of solid education for our children in the village.
That the Lord would strengthen the men who preach in our church.
That we would locate more unreached people surrounding our village.
