Many of our high school students graduate from student ministry and struggle to find their footing in a new city, college, or even in their own hometowns once their friends have moved away.
We're looking for adopters willing to pour into our grads' lives over the next school year. Pray for your grad, write letters full of encouragement and wisdom, and send care packages stuffed with goodies.
These graduates know Calvary as their home church, and there's nothing like a connection from home to help you navigate all the new people, places, and challenges that come with being a young adult. If you would like to commit to adopt a grad, check out the link to see profiles for our graduates and sign up!
Adopter Expectations
PRAY - Perhaps one of the greatest gifts you can give to your adoptee is to be a prayer warrior for them! We will regularly send you emails updating you on specific ways to be praying
ENCOURAGEMENT LETTERS - Send a hand-written letter once a month. These can be encouraging, funny, supportive, etc. Also send the occasional email.
CARE PACKAGES - Twice per semester, we ask that you send a care package to your adoptee in place of the letter. These are not intended to be elaborate and expensive but heartfelt and unique (examples: $10 gas card, candy or cookies, etc.) In our email updates, we will give you ideas for packages.
**We leave the option for the student to return the conversation back to you; however they may or may not. No matter if that happens, continue to communicate with and encourage them.
