Community Ministry in Haiti

Lee & Tina Nunemaker serve as the directors of Centre Lumiere in Les Cayes, Haiti – a ministry that works under the MEBSH (Mission of Evangelical Baptist of Southern Haiti) Church.  Centre Lumiere is a community based ministry providing skills and education so that Haitian women can be equipped, discipled, and inspired toward personal development, economic independence, and the ability to lead a new generation of Haitian women.  Classes include Bible, English, cooking, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, hospitality, decorating, domestic economics, and other related studies. The Nunemaker’s passion is first to share the Gospel, then to build Godly leaders for families, churches, and communities, in order to build a stronger future for Haiti. They have three grown sons, Daniel, Josiah, and Nathan.  Their son Isaac lives with them in Haiti. Please Pray That:

• They can be a light for the Gospel for those they work with.
• Centre Lumiere can become a self-supporting institution while they find ways to raise funds for its continuation.

Campus Ministry in France

Joe has been building the Kingdom of God in France for almost 40 years.  He and his wife, Karen (who is now with Jesus) established a church there with other missionaries.  In addition to preaching and serving the local church, Joe helps equip university students to share the Gospel and create more disciples for Jesus.

• Spiritual growth and boldness for the ministry leaders Joe is mentoring.

Meeting Needs In Berks County

We believe that Jesus has called us to meet the needs of those who need help as a sign of love to them and a witness to His love for us.  To that end, we have partnered with several ministries in Berks County that directly support those who are dealing with significant need.

• Hope Rescue Mission: Providing shelter, food, and resources to men experiencing homelessness.
• LightHouse Women & Children’s Center: Providing shelter, food, and resources to women and children experiencing homelessness.
• Hannah’s Hope: A place of Transitional Housing & Support for Mothers with Children
• Mercy Women’s Center: Providing women with a listening ear, reliable information, and essential help during challenging times.
• North Star Initiative: Advocating for the restoration of people caught in sex trafficking

Please consider praying for and volunteering at these ministries as a means of fulfilling Christ’s command to His followers.
